I guess my regular comments are seen by some as divisive. Oh dear, thats a shame.
But, why is it that so many find safety in platitudes? Don’t they have an opinion? Is the wisdom of the crowd so comfortable that they can’t speak their own mind for fear of alienation? Maybe the question is more related to their own self-confidence, but I can’t believe that is the case for so many in California. Are they products of the education system, the workplace or the way that family life is about living in the "Mediocre Lane". Accentuating the positive is important in certain situations, but not in all.
Maybe its a Californian thing, I’ve been here for close to 8 years, so my memory maybe failing but was England so close to the platitudinous ways of the Californians?
Don’t be afraid - get an opinion and express it, they’re usually free and you’ll be amazed where the discussion leads you.
