A little rest is good, today is my first back on the bike, with an easy hour and half ride sub-200watts. Tomorrow is more of the same.

I would like to have caught up with all the TdF coverage my TiVo has captured by the weekend, but I fear the 3 hour live coverage is tough to keep up with at any time. My work just doesn’t give me the time I’d like to sit home and watch TdF live every day. I listen to the BBC radio in the morning, afternoon, evening - just about anytime - and they’ve covered the last 1k or so of each stage. That means I get to hear 5+hours of racing summarised into 2 minutes. In today’s 2 minute summary I heard all about Vino’s crash - but nothing about how far back he was at the finish. I’m sure I’ll hear more about it by Saturday/Sunday when I get around to watching it.

I was a bit pi**ed last night, because the TiVo had already deleted Sundays cruise around Kent, it would’ve been good to have seen the race and more particularly the crash/chase by McEwan. Seeing his sprint in the highlights - he was frickin’ fast - oh to be that good on a bike.

Oh to be good enough to ride shoulder to shoulder with any of those boys in the race.
