Not that Clif bars aren’t good, but it comes to something when the only eating pleasure is the sweet flavours of Peanut Toffee Buzz bars. Comparing notes with others, I know that I’m not alone.
Why is it like this? I’ve changed my diet this pre-season, cutting most of the diary - cheese, yoghurt, etc so that I reduce my fat intake. Thats after cutting the sweet-stuff as well. We eat good quality foods, thanks to Mex, and I always eat enough, but now I’m getting that constant hunger feeling.
This morning my heart-rate strap needed tightening - I’ve not used it for 3 weeks and over the same time have lost 4-6lbs. I hope this isn’t too much or damaged my power output too much - I don’t have that much of it to start!
I’m looking forwards to my next long ride when I can scoff another PTB bar. Yummm.
