I love Foothills RR, its a great circuit  - good rollers to string out the field and then a final short climb before the finish that breaks the will of many before the sprint.  Too bad it wasn’t to be this year.

Sadly, I took an alternate route past Hutch and flatted after 10miles.  Yo, Hutch, thanks for the witty comment as I went backwards - gotta love the sarcastic tone, delivered with such style.  Anyway, congratulations, nice win.

I heard all sorts of tales on the way home from Chris, sounded like rest of the M123 was a slugfest of heavyweight proportions, no one giving an inch as the contenders were throwing punch after punch.  Our own Dave
Nelson got involved in the mauling, with legs bigger than my torso, he kicked the 800lb gorillas where it hurt and then went back for more.  Stuff of legends on that final lap.

We met Dave on the start line, and I mistook him for being English, clearly that upset him and he was good enough to save the torrent of terror for the rest of the field.  Don’t be upset Dave, you’re an honourary Englishman for life.
